SERRA CLUB SEMINARIAN DINNER

SERRA CLUB SEMINARIAN DINNER

Tuesday, June 16, 2015, members of St. Paul the Apostle parish attended the 8th Annual Dinner to benefit the Bishop Robert J. Carlson Seminarian Endowment Fund.  It was sponsored by the Saginaw Serra Club and held at Swan Valley Banquet Center in Saginaw.

Keynote speakers were Fathers Gary and Todd Koenigsknecht, twin brothers who were ordained in 2014 in the Lansing Diocese.  Their spiritual and humorous words were an inspiration to all present.  Bishop Joseph Cistone spoke briefly of the challenges young priests face today compared to the time when he was ordained.

The Saginaw Serra Club, founded in 1950, is a member of Serra International, which was founded in 1935.  The mission of Serra members is to foster and affirm vocations to the priesthood and religious life.  For more information or to join, go to www.saginawserra.org.
